St Stephen’s Community Trust based in Purfleet, Essex.
St Stephen’s Community Trust is a registered charity supporting children, young people and their families in the community through bespoke targeted activities to support local needs. We work with a dedicated group of full and part-time staff including volunteers to create a place where we can improve lives and where we can address personal issues.
We work to provide affordable, high-quality services addressing issues relating to poverty, care, health, education and social well-being. Activities are supportive, educational and inclusive. Our aim is to improve the social and emotional well-being of residents and build a strong community for everyone.
Since its foundation in September 2011 the Trust’s remit has grown and developed through the provision of various community-led projects. St Stephen’s Parish church hall was adapted, to help increase the number and range of activities, making it a safe environment where residents can meet up, access new opportunities and address complex social, economic and personal issues. The Trust continue its working relationship, occupying the newly built extension to provide a base of operation for the trust office needs.
