About Riverview Charitable Trust
(previously St Stephen’s Community Trust)
Tracey Luck and Rev. Andy Hudson founded St Stephen’s Community Trust as a Charity in 2011 after many years working together in the local community. The charity was established to support children, young people and their families in the community through bespoke targeted activities to support local needs.
Since its foundation in September 2011 the Trust’s remit has grown and developed through the provision of various community-led projects. St Stephen’s Parish church hall was adapted to help increase the number and range of activities, providing a safe environment where residents can meet up, access new opportunities and address social, economic and personal issues. The Trust continued its working relationship, occupying the newly built extension to provide a base of operation for the Trust office needs.
We recently celebrated our 10th anniversary as a registered charity and local community hub supporting the residents of Purfleet-on-Thames through various initiatives and regular programmes. Looking at our history we are thrilled to see our services being valued and taken up by so many people through their involvement in our projects, alongside our ability to adapt and respond to changing local needs.
As we look to the future we have decided to move forward with a structural change to the organisation which means as from 1st August 2022 we will be operating under a new charity number and updated name:
Riverview Charitable Trust (CIO)
Charity Number 1186261
Despite these changes, our core values, principles and objectives remain the same and we will continue to provide a community facility dedicated to serving the local area.
The trustees, management and services offered by the Charity remain the same.
